You wake up in the morning, look out the window and, yep, the sun has still got his hat on. It’s been sweltering for so long in Glasgow that taps aff seems to have become a permanent state (pink is the new pasty) and we may or may not have been eating ice-cream for breakfast all week. But shhh, don’t tell anyone.
Sunburn and sugar rushes aside, the timing could not have been more perfect for 2018’s TRNSMT Music Festival. Our quest was the creation of a breakout area with a relaxed vibe for all you happy, weary festival-goers. Not just a place to chill; a place to have some laughs and make some memories.
Take it easy for a little while.
After some brainstorming, a few sketches and a bit more ice-cream, we’re ready to roll. An array of café tables and chairs, picnic benches, oversized deck chairs, LED trees—the lot. So picture this…
You wander in with your pals, and you’re buzzing with the excitement of the day. And the atmosphere is just right, so maybe you end up staying here all night, and you forget to go and see The Killers (which is fine because, let’s be honest, it was all downhill after Hot Fuss anyway). And you’re chatting and laughing—and you don’t know it at the time, but this is one of those nights you’ll remember.
And that’s it, by the way. That’s why we love what we do here at Cameron.
