2023 – we had a blast!

From the UCI Congress in Glasgow, to the Aqua Nor Conference in Trondheim, #TeamCameron have travelled far and wide to deliver exceptional events for all of our clients in 2023.

We’ve even managed to fit in a brand refresh, website update and a whole new exhibition offering – phew!

Pedal to the metal

Our year kicked off in typically busy fashion, with the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships Physical Final in February.

Audience members had the chance to watch ten athletes take part in the 2023 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, bridging the gap between the real-world physical efforts of the riders and the virtual race.

Alongside this, Sir Chris Hoy was also there to take part in a live Q&A with the studio audience, as well as entertainment from DJ Funkwagen and celebrated Glasgow graffiti writer Taio. And #TeamCameron, of course…..

We were delighted to work with the event partners to provide a full production service, including stage design, set and graphic design, broadcast streaming services (the event was being covered on Eurosport and Global Sport Network), a networking space and videography to cover the event as it happened. Our high-end event furniture provided that little bit of finesse, adding the final touches on what proved to be a fabulous day all round.

A landmark for an iconic brand

On 27 March, Linn Products celebrated 50 years of audio excellence, inviting key trade partners and distributors from across the globe to join them for a fabulous 2 night celebration.

Cameron’s full event management service for Linn consisted of (amongst many other things) venue finding, pre-event management and liaising between Linn and the multiple venues.

A dedicated event manager and production manager ensured continuity and clear communication with the client throughout. This service included an initial site visit, weekly virtual meetings to provide updates, a detailed event schedule and a post-event budget reconciliation. Cameron’s A/V team were also involved, providing onsite production at the Linn Factory and at Oran Mor, including stage build, audio, LED wall and draping. The full boonah, as they say.

Time to dive in

For an Event Manager at Cameron, no two days are ever the same, and this was definitely the case with our Event Manger Louise Sweeney and Team Cameron at Aqua Nor 2023 in the beautiful city of Trondheim, Norway.

As part of Aqua Nor 2023, Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), Sustainable Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC) and the Scottish Government all collaborated to host the Scottish Pavilion, which showcased Scottish expertise in the aquaculture supply chain to an international trade audience.

Cameron’s role was to support the client with the exhibition element of their attendance at the event. Partnering with our good friends at Collective Events, we designed, built and dismantled the Scottish Pavilion, and provided exhibitor management for both pre-event and on event days.

Once the exhibition was open, a full programme of presentations took place on the Scottish Pavilion, which were managed by Team Cameron in line with the agreed schedule.

We also ensured the client and exhibitors were fully supported throughout their time at the event.

A fantastic 6 day round trip full of fun and thrills in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, and a fabulous testament to our amazing Event Management and Exhibitions team.

Quality & quantity

Cameron Events were the official furniture and TV screen supplier for the European Home for Genetics (ESHG) Exhibition and Conference at Glasgow’s SEC.

Our rich history in delivering premium exhibition furniture took on a new complexion as this exhibition was our first as the official supplier to over 150 exhibition stands, all processed through our bespoke online ordering system.

Another first was our new range of designer furniture products, specifically for exhibitions, which saw a £120,000 investment (the largest single investment in the company’s history!) ensuring we provide the best products in the UK’s furniture exhibition market.

And of course, we’re always delighted with some positive feedback….

And if that’s not enough, we still had time to fit in a website refresh, brand update and new furniture and exhibition online booking system. Yes indeed, goodbye Cameron, hello Cameron Events. New name, same exceptional events team.
