Creating the Courier Business Awards

Business is well and truly booming in Dundee.

With a history of innovation and creativity, a thriving economic environment, and an abundance of opportunities for businesses across all sectors – the city is going from strength to strength, making its mark as the ideal destination for entrepreneurs and business owners.

With that in mind, it was only fitting that Dundee would be the location of The 2018 Courier Business Awards.

We were delighted to do the full event production and theming for the awards at The Apex City Quay Hotel – a stunning setting on the city’s waterfront, only a stone’s throw from the new V&A Museum.

After a glamorous cocktail reception, more than 700 guests made their way into a twinkling marquee – decked out by yours truly – with celebrations led by countdown host Rachel Riley.

On our kit list was sound and lighting, set and staging, an eye-catching video wall, a dazzling star cloth, LED bars, LED table centres, LED event trees, and – just in case things weren’t sparkly enough – giant LED letters.

This event was a joy to work on. Not to mention, #CourierBizAwards was the no.1 trending event in the UK Twitter charts…
