Election 2024: The key seats to watch out for as date set for 4 July

It’s been 4 and a half long years in the making, but we’ve finally got ourselves a general election date of July 4.

The Conservatives secured an 80 seat majority in the 2019 general election and would have won by even more – defending a majority of 94 – if that vote had taken place on the new election boundaries which have changed since 2019.

Fortunately Sky have put together a few tables that show where the key battlegrounds are likely to be, including a handy postcode search to see who would have won in your area if the new boundaries were in place in 2019….

Co-Op Live celebrate huge first week including opening shows by elbow, The Black Keys, Eric Clapton and Barry Manilow

It’s been fraught with problems, issues and bad PR, but the Co-Op Live arena finally opened on May 14, with performances from The Black Keys, Eric Clapton and Barry Manilow.

The brand new arena in Manchester boasts a massive 23,500 capacity, state of the art facilities and trailblazing venue design.

The venue brings fans 23m closer to artists than ever before. The arena’s smart ‘bowl’ design means it is big yet incredibly intimate, with the arena also featuring cutting edge visual technology and incredible, world-class acoustics.

With the stage now set for a vibrant opening season, a stellar lineup of stars including Nicki Minaj and the legendary Stevie Nicks will perform at the music first arena over the coming weeks. Co-op Live will also host several multi-night residencies, including Liam Gallagher, The Killers and UK exclusive performances by the iconic band, the Eagles.
