Let’s Get Digital launches Ukraine initiative Groningen based online and hybrid event platform provider Let’s Get Digital, has launched a fantastic initiative to support Ukraine. Aside from opening their office and donating, the company will also support Ukraine with their technology and services. What does this mean? In a nutshell, they will offer their virtual event platform and services free of charge to anyone organising any type of event to help with the situation in Ukraine – from fundraising to healthcare/educational conferences. Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park to host major Summer Festival Upcoming good times alert! Dandelion, an ambitious creative programme taking place across Scotland in 2022, have announced a major outdoor festival for Kelvingrove Park Glasgow. Taking place over 3 days in June, the first Dandelion festival will transform the park with a mix of live music, interactive walkabout theatre, science and creative activities for all the family, talks, food and workshops. The goal? A desire to reimagine our relationship with food and the planet. The best part? It’s completely free. Commissioned by EventScotland and funded via the Scottish Government, Dandelion is Scotland’s contribution to UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, a nationwide programme of creative events and engagement. Dandelion brings together artists, scientists, performers, and technologists to present a six-month series of events and programmes throughout Scotland, starting on April 28. Further details about the wider Dandelion programme will be released at the end of April. This Is Tomorrow Festival cancelled due to “oversaturated market” On the flipside, the organisers of Newcastle’s This is Tomorrow Festival have announced its cancellation for 2022, citing and oversaturated market. They said,” With an oversaturated market, the ongoing economic crisis and rising costs, 2022 is the wrong year for the festival to expand further.” Organisers also shared that they were “working on some noise modelling” ahead of 2023 so they could, “minimise any disturbance for residents and maximise the experience for festival fans”. Those who have purchased early bird tickets will be refunded, according to the festival spokesperson. The music festival which was to feature Sam Fender and Gerry Cinnamon as headliners, will now return in May of 2023.
